Sequence #1 BSG = 40 minutes
- Class time to “debrief” the teams on the results of early decision rounds
- Review: Footwear Industry Report
- Review Comparative Competitive Efforts report to get familiar with the information provided and, hopefully, recognize its importance
- Pay particular attention to the information in the Competitive Intelligence Reports and positioning on the strategic group map for each geographic region
- Time to look at interesting outcomes and results, especially those in the Comparative Competitive Efforts report (showing the prices, performance/quality ratings, number of models, warranty periods, and so on of all the companies in each of the four geographic regions of the camera/drone marketplace) and the benchmarking data on pages 6-7 of the Footwear Industry Report.
- Need to stress to students the merits of digesting and diagnosing the results of each decision round before rushing into making decision entries for the upcoming year.
- Then, 10 minutes to go to Breakout Rooms to talk amongst your Small Groups for the BSG.

- Framing of the problem in the chosen case to the participants
- Identifying potential root causes and presenting it in an appropriate framework
- Facilitation of the group's determination of the actual cause(s) of the problem using appropriate theories and models
- Activities used to facilitate the class identifying potential solutions
- Listening, capturing, communicating, and effectively selling the chosen solution back to the group
- Leading the design of the implementation (execution) plan
- Wrapping up the event (i.e. closing the loop)
- Overall professional performance (e.g. coping with stress, operating as a team, etc.)
- Case facilitation materials (e.g. EVENT PLAN, slide deck, worksheets, framework, additional research materials, etc.)
